The battle of royalties for webcasters has been a long one and appears to be ending. Its technical and hard to understand even for me. I have been trying to share any information I can when its be simplified for us to follow. Here is a great article with a chart giving a breakdown on who all is in the fight for a royalty rate and the conflicts involved.

Pandora, Webcasting appear headed for Senate victory

Since March of 2007 webcasting has been in danger of being priced out of business with royalties. May of you may remember the Save Net Radio campaign. It was a big success as it postponed fee rate increase. Many of our listeners made calls to congress in opposition to the fees and I want to thank you again. It has helped keep us online. The problem never really went away and just has been dormant. In any case, things have been heating up lately with the online streaming service Pandora leading the fight. Finally some decisions appear on the horizon.
