Scratch Maniac, DJ Madscratch, has been annihilating wax for over 30 years. His journey started in the old school Break Beat scene of the late 80's. As a music lover, Madscratch was Djing & Breakdancing to all the old school Break Beats like Planet Rock, Debbie Deb, Pretty Tony, Dj Debonaire, Egyptian Lover, etc. The originality of Madscratch’s name was created from a vivid dream straight from the surreal world of “Alice in Wonderland.” In his dream, while perched atop a mushroom, the worm challenged the Madhatter and Scratch to a turntable battle. With the victory in his corner, the infamous, beat mixing specialist, DJ Madscratch was born. Madscratch's undisputed cutting, scratching, and transforming skills have gained him recognition and respect in Georgia, through the Southeast United States, and throughout the world. Transitioning into a producer in the early 90’s, Madscratch produces original and remixed traxx such as Funky Breakz, Break Beats, and Electro House. Madscratch has produced over 100 tracks (released and unreleased) under Nasty Scratch Records, a label he formed back in 2000. In 2008, he also helped form UFO Recordings USA out of Tampa, Florida. Continuing to promote his music worldwide, he opened up a digital record store.. [-link-]. To put a spin on things, Madscratch has recently signed with Samoa Good Recordings remixing other professional artist’s releases around the world.
